United Dance Company's Extraordinary Nutcracker is the only narrated Nutcracker in New England specifically created for an audience of all ages. The 60 minute performance focuses on engaging storytelling, vivid dancing, and is sensory friendly for the best family experience possible!

The United Dance Company is an inclusive dance company featuring artists who identify as having a disability and artists who don't, united by their artistic excellence.

MBTA
Orange Line to Back Bay station. Exit onto Clarendon Street. Turn right. Go four blocks on Clarendon Street, then make a left onto Tremont Street. The Calderwood Pavilion is on your left just past the Cyclorama.
Green Line to Copley Square station. Exit onto Boylston Street and walk with traffic (Boylston is one-way). Take a right onto Clarendon Street and walk seven blocks, then make a left onto Tremont Street. The Calderwood Pavilion is on your left just past the Cyclorama.
BUS
No. 43 which travels along Tremont Street between Park Street Station on the Green Line and Ruggles Station. Take the bus to the Union Park stop.

From the North
Take I-93 South into Boston, exit onto Storrow Drive. Take the Copley Square exit on your left. At the light make a left onto Beacon Street and a quick right, following the path of all traffic, onto Arlington Street. Follow Arlington for approximately one-half (1/2) mile, crossing over the highway into the South End. Turn right onto Tremont Street at the light in front of the CVS. The Calderwood Pavilion is on your right at 527 Tremont Street.
From the South
Take I-93 to the Mass. Ave. exit. Turn right onto Mass. Ave. north. Turn right at the fifth light onto Tremont Street. The Calderwood Pavilion is located on the left at 527 Tremont Street.
From the West
Take I-90 into Boston. Get off the highway at the Copley Square/Prudential exit. Follow signs for Copley. Stay straight to go onto Stuart Street. Go two blocks then turn right onto Arlington Street at the light. Go over the highway. At the light in front of the CVS, turn right onto Tremont Street. The Calderwood Pavilion is on your right at 527 Tremont Street.

Many local restaurants also offer valet parking and will keep your car while you enjoy both a meal and a show.
There are several parking garages within walking distance of the Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA. (The Huntington is not affiliated with any of these garages. The parking rates listed are valid as of July 1, 2022 and are subject to change without notice. Please contact the garages directly for the most up-to-date parking info.)
Street parking is very limited but some patrons have had luck finding coveted metered parking spots on Tremont Street. Meters are in effect until 8pm, though with the outdoor dining patio expansion in the neighborhood metered spots are more limited than before.

Monday – Wednesday: $16 after 6pm.

The Back Bay Garage (entrance on Clarendon Street, between Boylston and St. James) $8 rate for weekday evenings (after 4pm) and $10 rate for up to 11 hours on Saturdays and Sundays. The Theatre
The Calderwood Pavilion is fully accessible. The Nancy and Edward Roberts Studio Theatre can accommodate up to four wheelchair seats, depending on the seating configuration. There are accessible restrooms on both levels of The Huntington Calderwood. The Atelier 505 Parking Garage provides handicapped parking in close proximity to The Huntington Calderwood.

The Performance
The performance is designed to welcome guests who are neurodiverse, have sensory sensitivities, and need additional accessibility accommodations to enjoy the ballet.
The majority of artists performing on stage are neurodiverse.
